4nd project meeting of CI – NOVATEC "Customer Intelligence for inNOVAtive Tourism Ecosystems" in Ostuni, Puglia

The 4^th project meeting of CI-NOVATEC “Customer Intelligence for inNOVAtive Tourism Ecosystems” will take place on 25th and 26th November 2019 at Ostuni Palace Hotel Meeting SpA of Ostuni, in Puglia.

Puglia Region – Department of Tourism, Economy of Culture and Valorization of Territory will host the representatives of Region of Western Greece (lead partner), University of Patras - Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Region of Epirus, Chamber of Commerce of Bari, and the associated partners Chamber of Commerce of Achaia and Chamber of Commerce of Brindisi.

The aim of the meeting is to evaluate the progress of CI-NOVATEC activities and plan the future actions of partners, who are developing new techniques and innovative technologies for the collection of data related to the tourist experience to improve the performance of their tourism systems. The city of Ostuni is one of the three pilot areas chosen by Puglia Region to develop new "tourism ecosystems" at micro-region level and where Puglia Region already held a meeting with local stakeholders on this matter on 19 November 2019.

In general, the objective of the project is to focus on Local Tourism Clusters (LTCs), very important factors for strengthening local economies within the cross-border area. These Clusters are comprised of geographically concentrated Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and provide services to the same client (or a group of customers), namely the visitor, but they may belong to a variety of sectors such as tourism, creative industries, nutrition, commerce, leisure, transport, etc.
