Albergabici Traiana Bed & Bike

Passing through Apulia along the Strada Statale 16, which connects Fasano to Ostuni, between centuries-old olive trees and ancient masserie stands out the red pompeian Casa Cantoniera Anas, in Montalbano di Fasano. And it is here that, at Km. 870, within the walls that in the early years of the twentieth century housed families of "cantonieri", was created a Albergabici, Foresteria and Visitor Center of the Natural Park Coastal Dunes. Nestled in the Plain of the Monumental Olive Trees between Ostuni and Fasano and in the Coastal Dunes Park, a few kilometers from the sea, the Albergabici is close to the Adriatic Cycle Route, one of the long-distance routes of the national cycling network of Bicitalia that, from Venice, following the entire Adriatic coast, leads to Santa Maria di Leuca. It follows part of the route of the Via Traiana, in the stretch between Egnazia and Brindisi, now equipped with rest areas and information points for cyclists.
For this reason the Albergabici was named Traiana Bed&bike.

The Traiana Bed&bike has a total of 20 beds and a series of services available, in particular, for groups of cyclists, hikers and walkers along the Via Francigena. It has a large bike park, a garage-workshop for the repair and washing of bicycles with attached bicigrill, and a garden that collects species of Mediterranean and varieties of native fruit trees.

The Traiana Bed&bike is also very close to the cycle paths that lead to the Apulian Aqueduct Cycle Route in the heart of the Itria Valley. The Traiana Bed&bike is a center equipped to accommodate those who, from all over the world, stop to discover this special corner of Puglia in a slow way. The Traiana Bed&bike is in the village of Montalbano di Fasano, is a half hour drive from the airports of Bari and Brindisi, just 6 kilometers from the station Ferrovie dello Stato di Cisternino and just under 15 km from both the railway station of Fasano and Ostuni, important hubs for intermodality train plus bike.
