Pilone

Tufts of Mediterranean scrub appear on the dunes which frame the beach with shades of blue, awarded the Blue Flag and 5 Sails (a prize given to the most beautiful beaches) of Legambiente (Italian environment protection association).

The beach of Pilone is surrounded by the unspoiled nature of the regional nature park “Dune Costiere da Torre Canne a Torre San Leonardo”, not far away from Ostuni, in the Itria Valley.

Put the feet in the fine sand and then enter slowly the blue water, walking on the sandy sea bed which slope down to the sea: this is the perfect way to sweep away the stress and let yourself be pampered by the shades of the sea and by the colours of the sunset.

You can relax on the sun beds at the private beaches or on the public ones, dominated by the sixteenth century tower of San Leonardo.
